We camped with my mom and Dennis Friday night at Indian Cave State Park. It was a little bit chilly and misty on Saturday but we still had a good time. The most exciting part of the night was the band of raccoons that visited our camp. They sure were pesky critters, trying to get into the food! I loved hearing a whipoorwill singing and coyotes howling in the night. I think I was a kid the last time I heard those sounds.
We last visited in the fall and the trees were changing beautiful colors. This time, little wildflowers and columbine were blooming. We saw lots of birds and bluebirds, my mom's favorite!
