Week In The Life: Tuesday
I've spent more time out of the house in the last two days than I have in the last two months! Kirk and I delivered more roses to our choir kids today. But first, I got to spend a little time with Kirk and Allison's dog, Ranger :)
He's such a good boyyyyy. I love his bowtie.
Almost all of our seniors answered the door today. It was really great to visit with each of them for just a little bit. I miss the kids a whole lot and many of them said they miss us too. Most of them said they are bored and tired of being at home all the time. Sad that they have missed out on so many things like prom, senior skip/prank, final concerts, and banquets. Sad that their summer camps are postponed. Unsure about the future. I feel that, too. What a strange time.
While we were out driving around, we realized that today is our coworker Joe's birthday. We drove past Joe's house on the way to a flower delivery and thought since we were already in the neighborhood, we could bring him something for his birthday. I said, how about we sing Happy Birthday and Kirk said, ok and let's get him some beer. We stopped at SchillingBridge for some birthday beer.
Happy Birthday, Joe!
Lunch from Amigos
Came home to a sick little boy. He only wanted to snuggle with dad.
I love being around people but I was super exhausted after all that social interaction today. I'm out of practice! Iced coffee and this yummy cake from a student helped wake me up a bit.
I bought myself a bunch of kid crafts for something to do. Pretty fun and relaxing to make. These will probably go in Jenny's gnome garden.
Jenny found this poor baby squirrel when she was working in the backyard this afternoon. Pretty sure the dog got to it :(
The kale plant from last year's garden is blooming these bright happy yellow flowers and it is making all of us happy.
Some of you might know that I often wake up with a song in my head. The song stuck in my head today is I Saw The Sign by Ace of Base. Allll dayyyy longggg. Watching the video reminds me of my friend Michelle. I don't know how many times we watched this video back in college....a lot. It was a lot of times. She loved it and that makes me smile.
