Modern Fans Sew Along
I've been participating in the Suzy Quilts Modern Fans Sew Along over on Instagram for the last couple months. I keep accusing Kristie of peer pressuring me to join but it really wasn't too hard to convince me, it's such a fun quilt! Check out Kristie's awesome black and white version and then hop over to the hashtag #modernfanssa to see all the different interpretations of this pattern! I kept up with posting my progress each week and I'm happy to have a finished quilt top all made from fabrics in my stash. I can't wait to get it quilted so I can use it this winter.
I like how so much weather is reflected in my photos haha. It rained for the first two weeks it seems, then it snowed, then we enjoyed some warm fall days. I was able to get some fun photos at the IQSCM during our sew day. The Modern Fans pattern has a lot of curved seams but they are not difficult to master. I personally used a glue stick to glue my curves before I sewed because I wanted them perfect and I didn't want to use pins. But I know some people sewed them without using any pins! So brave.
