Love Is Blind Quilt

I finished up this sweet baby blanket last night. The pattern is called "Love is Blind" by Thomas Knauer and it's in the summer 2016 issue of Quilty magazine.

The project in the magazine measures 20" x 27" which is more like a wall hanging, it would be a pretty small baby blanket. It also calls for cutting out triangles to make HST's. I decided to make my HST's the four at a time way and upsized them to 4". There are three different shades of the background solid and 8 polka dot fabrics. My blanket measures about 27" x 38". I skipped the batting, using a piece of flannel in the middle and on the back.

The neat thing about this pattern is that it spells out I Love You in braille! I love that it has a hidden message and one about love, at that!

This blanket is going to the prayer shawl ministry at church to be given for baby baptisms. This was a fun and quick project, I might make another one!
