Supernova Friendship Block Swap: Finished Quilt!
Hey Hey Hey!
Looky here!!
Kristie from Sew Sunshine and I have been participating in the Supernova Friendship Block Swap since last June.
Stephanie from Late Night Quilter and Sandra from One Million Stitches put the swap together, using the awesome Supernova pattern by Lee from Freshly Pieced.
And guess what?
You know what?
We both have FINISHED QUILTS!
Whooooo hooooo!! We did it!!
This whole project has been so much fun from the very beginning! I have really enjoyed getting to know Kristie and I will never forget when we met up for the first time at the Cosmic Cow quilt shop here in town. From the minute we started talking fabric, I knew we were going to get along great! Even Rich at the quilt shop (who had to listen to us gab on and on) said he thought we hit it off haha!
My favorite thing was making a new block each month.
Picking out the fabrics and deciding where the colors should go was fun.
As you can see, Kristie and I really went for it with the bright, saturated colors.
Actually, I think the best part was seeing how our blocks were working together each time we swapped. Kristie and I think we were just meant to make this quilt together.
The whole thing makes me smile.
Kristie, our quilt rocks and I had the best time making it with you!
P.S. There's not much snow left in these pictures,
but I'd also like to give a shout out to Mother Nature for all the snow days.
I wouldn't have finished this quilt without them! :)

ReplyDeleteLooks great! I love the way the bright colours seem to sparkle against the grey background.
ReplyDeleteThat is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Kristie and I are really happy about the final result.
DeleteIt's spectacular! I've really enjoyed seeing these quilts pop up on blogland, so much colour and lovely to read about all the new friendships formed as well :) I love the way you finished yours off with the blue binding too - it's the perfect colour!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I love those bright colors.
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous! I love the vibrancy of the colours; super work ladies!
ReplyDeleteReally, really beautiful and bright color choices - looks fantastic! I would love to have a snow edition too, but it seems that when it snows here, it's never more than an inch, and is already melted by sometime later in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finish!
Thank you, Allison! I'm just so happy with it!
DeleteSuper, super, super! I just came from Kris' finished quilt! These are outstanding! So beautiful and it sounds like you all had such fun!
