Tis the season for holiday baking. I usually don't get anything made, but I look forward to Sheryl's cookies, peanut brittle and fudge every year. Everybody at church knows that Sheryl is a great cook and I have been the lucky recipient of many of her cakes and sweets.
These treats were a nice surprise on Wednesday!

 Yesterday was Gary's birthday.
We celebrated with a birthday pizza.
I put up a few more Christmas decorations and Gary suggested that our mini Christmas tree needed a tree skirt.
I thought that was a great idea!

I decided on red and green. I think the red and white chevron is kinda like peppermints or candy canes! I cut 10 green and 10 red wedges at 7.5 inches.

I sewed the layers together, left an opening and then turned it right side out. The first time I had the batting in there wrong so I had to rip and redo.

A little bit of quilting and my mini tree skirt was done!

A fun and fast project.
I'm glad I managed to squeeze in a little sewing before my busy weekend!
