WIP Wednesday

I'm up to the fourth border on my dad's seasons quilt. This is the spring border. 

I started out making a checker board design with purples, pinks and green but when I saw it all together, I hated it! So then I made some flower blocks, which you see in the the corners. I toyed with the idea of making the border be all flower blocks. Then school started and I thought maybe I should come up with something quicker. 

I really like this triangle border. Instead of all flowers, I decided to just go for color on this round and put my flower blocks in the corners.

I discovered that my quilt is not quite square! I thought I had my measurements right but there are small triangle bits peeking out on the top and bottom rows. Oh well, I'm not taking it out to do over. 

Next up, the summer border!!
