My quilt ladder is all refinished and ready to store my quilts!
Here is what it looked like when I brought it home.
I love how it turned out! I applied two coats of stain and two coats of polyurethane.
The metal parts were rusty so Gary soaked them in a rust remover. I spray painted them with a paint that is supposed to look like hammered metal. The color doesn't match what the can represented but I like it anyway. I really wanted my quilts to be protected from rust!
I'm so glad I took on this project! Besides the sanding, refinishing the ladder wasn't very difficult. I think it's a great way to store my quilts because they aren't in a big pile anymore. I'm looking forward to seeing them displayed every day!
