What a beautiful weekend!
Saturday, Gary's sister Angel and I went to a plant sale. Having never been to one, we didn't know what to expect. We arrived a few hours after it opened and discovered that many plants had already been bought but we still found plants for our gardens. I bought some pinks, flax and sedum. The other two are something new and I can't remember the names. I also bought a tray style bird feeder for the bigger birds. We had a good time and I think we should go again next year!
I got all ambitious and dug up a corner of the backyard, right next to the rhubarb. I can't wait to plant my plants and seeds! We had a really nice rain though, so I will have to wait until the dirt dries out a bit.
Mama robin built her nest right outside my kitchen window! I feel bad because we keep scaring her off every time we walk out the door. I guess we'll see if she stays. I asked my 5 year old niece, Maddie, if she could come up with a name for the robin and she said, "Mrs. Waddles."
I think it's a perfect name. Mrs. Waddles it is!
Love the photos! Are those fiddle head ferns by chance?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! I don't really know what kind of fern it is. They are planted in the weirdest place, right next to the rose bushes. I would like to dig them up and move them but I can't get to them because of the rose thorns!
