My scrappy trip around the world blocks are all sewn together! It's a good thing I'm making a crib size quilt, because I could just keep making these blocks! I was going to stop at 16 blocks but realized it would have to be bigger. So I made 4 more, but then the diagonal red squares didn't continue the X to the corners. I had to make 4 more blocks. Then I added the pink strip all around to make it measure almost 40" x 60".
Now I'm trying to decide what to do for the backing. I may just do a single piece of fabric instead of a pieced back, since the front has so many seams. Then, I want to hand quilt this one. I haven't for awhile and it just sounds nice to sit and work on something at a slower pace!
