Scrappy Potholder Week

Welcome to Scrappy Potholder Week!

Last week's heat had me staying inside most of the time. So what did I do? 

I sewed potholders!! Yeah!

These are going to my mom. She requested yellow and blue. 

The chevron design is something new I tried using 2" strips of fabric, cut into 3" and 5" pieces. I like the look of it but I'm thinking about making the strips skinnier next time. Or maybe make the whole block out of several chevron units.

I know the white background is not great for hiding stains, but it was the only option that I liked. I think it makes the chevron really stand out.
