I Sewed! (For me...not Christmas presents)

I actually squeezed in some sewing time over the weekend! This is my overflowing scrap basket. It has layers upon layers of scraps from different projects. I mostly used the scraps on the top layer for this project, so that means they came from this quilt.

I've wanted to make this mitten pillow for YEARS! My mom made a couple of them a long time ago, and I always thought they were so cute. My goal with this project...use what I already have!

 My ancient roll of Heat n Bond still had some sticky in it to stick the mittens to the background fabric.

Next I will zig zag around the edges and add some sashing strips. I'm liking how this is turning out so far!
