One Down, Seven to Go!

Opening night for Pinewood Bowl's production of The Wizard of Oz. We had a good sized crowd. This is my view from the orchestra pit.

Being in the pit makes me feel like I'm an animal in the zoo. The kids stand at the fence and stare at us before the show and at intermission. It's a little weird.
One of the bad things about being an accompanist is that I never actually see the show. I'm almost always looking at my music. This is the TV we have in the pit with us. I get to watch a little bit, now that the orchestra has joined me!
I think we have put together a really great show! If you live near Lincoln, bring your picnic supper and lawn chairs. Come take a trip down the yellow brick road!
