Another T-Shirt Memory Quilt

The heat and humidity have rolled in, so I have been inside the past few days, working on preparing these t-shirts to be made into a quilt.

I've got all the interfacing on the shirts (the tedious part) and now I'm playing around with making a few fun blocks to throw in the mix. I really enjoyed sewing these today, just for fun!

12.5" x 18.5"

13" x 18"

The dog block is from Sew Fresh Quilts. Isn't it so cute? I just love all of Lorna's fun patterns and would love to make her ugly Christmas sweater quilt someday! For the tree block, I made my own paper pieced pattern based on this pattern.  I used t-shirts for these blocks, too, and I'm wondering if there will be too many bulky seams. I'm going to try it and see what happens. I'm not sure if there will be room for these extra blocks in the quilt but I really want to get them in. Stay tuned! Hopefully I can get it finished this summer!
